Gucci

The brand that I have chosen is Gucci also known as House of Gucci. Gucci is an Italian fashion brand founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. Gucci icon, the gg, Guccio Gucci’s initials, it is either transformed by merging or inverting it and is then fused into the products. Gucci is a brand that focuses on fashion and accessories. It specializes in a large variety of handbags, which are made from leather goods, offering a wide selection of handbags which includes totes, clutches, hobo and messenger bags. Gucci uses luxurious materials, innovative approaches and high quality workmanship to design which create a classic look to all the products. Thus it has now became a recognizable fashion brands in the world.

Logitech

In 1981, Logitech International S.A. was co-founded in Switzerland by two Stanford Masters alumni. The company started with mice, which was new at that time. This was to provide a more intuitive way of relating with a personal computer. For a time during its shaping years, Logitech's Silicon Valley offices occupied space at California, home to a number of noted technology startups.
From there, Logitech expanded its product line to encompass many mass market computer side-lines and beyond (such as the "Harmony" range of programmable universal remote controls).

With products sold in almost every country in the world, Logitech’s leadership in innovation now encompasses a wide variety of personal peripherals (both cordless and corded), with special emphasis on products for PC navigation, gaming, Internet communications, digital music and home-entertainment control.

Co-founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, Microsoft Corporation a United States-based multinational computer technology corporation, has built a dominant position the computer industry. Microsoft possesses footholds in other markets, with assets such as the MSNBC cable television network, the MSN Internet portal, and the Microsoft Encarta multimedia encyclopedia. The company also markets both computer hardware products such as the Microsoft mouse as well as home entertainment products.

Microsoft is Logitech's primary competitors in the corded- and cordless-mouse and keyboard markets. Microsoft's not the only competitor Logitech has as the latter provides a wide range of products.

LEGO

I have chosen LEGO as the brand for this exercise.
Established in 1934, LEGO is famous and contrasting from it's toy industry competitors as they do not simply just make toys for kids, they generates kids intelligence by requiring them to build toys by themselves and even customising it in the way they want to be, by using their iconic durable and high quality blocks. Thus, allowing kids to be entertain in the way that most prefer and at the same time educating them.

For LEGO's minifigs, they have a constant distinctive way of portraying human figures and even famous characters. Thus, it plays a part in making LEGO toys standing out from the toy industry too.

Other than just toys for children, they had brought forward their iconic blocks and minifigs models into the gaming industry and even a LEGO theme park. LEGO have also became a form of art nowadays after finding out that designers and artists have started using LEGO blocks and minifig characters as a form of designing style and medium for sculptures or models. In general, LEGO toys have not only became things that kids have play with, it had developed and became a image in everyone's mind and work as a form of representation in other forms such as art and movies.

Estée Lauder

The chosen brand I will be working on is Estée Lauder. Founded in 1946, this technologically advanced, innovative company has gained a worldwide reputation for elegance, luxury and superior quality for their cosmetics, skincare and fragrance products. Armed with their initial four products - super rich all purpose cream, creme pack, cleansing oil and skin lotion - and an unshakeable belief: that every woman can be beautiful, this simple notion has literally changed the face of the beauty business.

Chanel

I have chosen Chanel.

Before, the small shop selling ladies headwear founded in 1910 initially became especially famous with the elegant little black dress and its signature Chanel No. 5 fragrance.
Till now, an all rounded established brand catering for people towards luxury.
Chanel has it all, ranging from fashion, perfume to accessories such as watches, sunglasses, purses and so on.
Incorporating elegance, class and originality, Chanel is well known for its black and white trademark all around the world.
Therefore, making it fairly recognizable and distinct as compared with other successful brands.

Louis Vuitton

I have chosen Louis Vuitton (pronounced Loo-ee Vee-tawn)
As of some other luxury brands such as Prada, Louis Vuitton started off small making trunks for world travel.  Till date, Louis Vuitton is an international symbol of status exclusive for the rich and famous, with celebrities and socialites constantly spotted holding a bag with Louis Vuitton monogram all over (blatant advertising).

An example using Levis

Levis is my chosen brand. As a brand, Levis has moved on from work apparel for gold miners during the Gold Rush to a label that one associates with anytime one thinks about jeans and denim. Its iconic status in pop culture reinforces the brand's viability with creative ads (such as the one by Michel Gondry) and distinctive marketing (the easily recognisable red tab) alongside its unique styles.
