Bodyshop

i will be working on The Body Shop® in this assignment.
The very first The Body Shop® store opened on 26th March 1976 in Brighton, on the south coast of England. It expanded very quickly, going overseas in 1978 and now, it is a global brand, with franchises all over the world.
'We believe there is only one way to beautiful, nature’s way.'
The Body Shop® incorporates natural ingredients from all over the globe, presenting products that promise to enhance one's natural beauty with the expression of one's individual personality. Its products ranges from cosmetics to skincare products, with a goal to activate self esteem in its consumer, and with campaigns that address the protection of the Earth, the opposition on animal testing, the support of community trading and the defense of human rights.

Now, The Body Shop® is recognized as a global corporation that cares (refer to campaigns and goal), thus having consumers' trust and loyalty in its products.

  1. Other than its firm establishment as a global brand, I think that consumers' trust on Body Shop is also reinforced through its ads, which educate consumers on its products and the causes the brand is supporting.

  2. BodyShop seems successful as i always seem to see alot of people crowding inside the stores. What's good is that everytime i walk pass, i seem to smell a nice scent coming out from the store so it puts me in a good mood.

  3. BodyShop's merchandise layout is great. I especially love the makeup section where they provide samples, cotton wool and tissues for customers to try on. Their posters too are appealing to draw in customers.

  4. The Body Shop has been actively participating in many different campaigns in which Cynthia had mentioned in the post. I think this is one way in which many consumers are more willing to support The Body Shop as well as the campaigns. Its logo is also simple and easy to recognize.

  5. The use of natural ingredient assured the consumers to be free from all the other chemical products which in turn boost the consumers' confidence in using their products. Furthermore, the wide range of products allow consumers to have a variety choice of buying.

  6. The use of natural ingredients and anti-animal tests will always allow body shop to stand out from it's fellow competitors in the same industry. Whenever you pass by their stores, you will always experience a unique scent. As for it's advertisements, it often uses simple typography to provide a more straightforward message and easier understanding.

  7. I like the bodyshop campaigns as it reminds us that beauty products are not necessarily vain. They also remind that each individual is special and beautiful and products are to enhance it.

  8. The brand name itself is easy to remember and it tells you what the shop is offering. The fact that they use natural ingredients and anti-animal tests for their merchandise provide a very positive image to consumer.

  9. I always think of the active eco-friendly concept whenever I step into The Body Shop. It was one of the first brands that introduced to me this concept. I had no recollection of anti-animal testings before knowing The Body Shop and hence has made a very big impact to me.

  10. ohkay. im a fan of the body shop. simply because im actually, very very particular about the scent of the body wash/ soap i am using. so i actually open the caps to sniff before buying. i love the japanese cherry body wash from the body shop. and the aqua lily as well. the best thing is that, it washes off easily, so there isnt any sticky feeling about it. they are eco friendly as they changed they plastic bags to paper bags. though it can be quite annoying, can tell that they are trying to save the environment right?

  11. My impression of The Body Shop is that they have products that benefit the body even though I have not tried their products before. This is probably due to their advertising that contributes to my impression of Body Shop.

  13. Body shop is a brand that caters to both the needs of men and women to have better skin and face complexion and healthier lifestyle. They always have different promotion to attract consumers and their price range allow young studying people to be able to afford them unlike Bobbi brown, Shu Umera and those more expensive brands.
